Friday arrival, Sunday goodbye. In between: Grüntensee, two track sessions, a Hyrox workout nobody forgets. And a crew that didn't take a single break from being together for three days.
FRIDAY. KICKOFF AT GRÜNTENSEE.
Arrive, check into rooms, unpack the freshly printed camp shirts. There's not much time: the transfer to Grüntensee is already waiting, and with it the first session, a Kenyan threshold run with a view of the lake. Back at the hotel it's shower, then dinner, then Felix with a theory session on training structure. The first day is long. Nobody's complaining.
SATURDAY. TRACK, HYROX, VIDEO ANALYSIS.
Up early, straight to the track. Warmup, running drills, intervals, while a camera captures every stride for the running analysis, and the Reboots recovery boots help the legs in between. Lunch is pizza, served right at the track. In the afternoon everyone gets their turn in front of the screen: video analysis with Steffi, watching their own running form in slow motion. Then a Hyrox workout that digs into the last reserves, plus a recovery run to wind down. Before the barbecue, Steffi runs through the running analysis results with the group one more time, and Larissa closes out the evening with the theory session on race preparation. The day with the most on the schedule. Also the one with the most laughing.
SUNDAY. ONE MORE LAP ON THE TRACK.
Whoever wanted to went on an early hike with Fux, everyone else slept in. After breakfast it's one last time on the track: a threshold run, noticeably slower than Saturday's, though the legs feel it anyway. Lunch, a closing strength workout, then feedback in a circle before the bags go back in the car. Munich is waiting.
IMPRESSIONS.
AFTER THE CAMP.
Three days, two track sessions, a Hyrox workout and a folder full of running-form videos to review. That's all a good camp needs. The next one will happen.
