My name is Gerardo, some say Gera, others Gerry. And some call me Bachata King. Some days you'll see me at training, others dancing. Often both.
THE BEGINNING.
I hadn't been in Munich long when I saw an Instagram reel from RS. Training in snow, below freezing. No joke. That immediately got me. I wanted to know who these people were.
My first session: intervals in the English Garden. Everyone was fast. I came in as one of the last. And that was exactly the moment that hooked me: I'm a competitive person. From then on there was only one goal: to one day run with the first group.
LATIN RS.
The first Spanish speakers I met at RS: Manuel, Carlos, Domenico. Then more joined. We became a group, eventually a crew within the crew.
That's how Latin RS was born. And with it a ritual: "La Lista". Who was at the Monday intervals? Who missed it? La Lista knows.
THE RELAY.
Our first 4x400 relay with Latin RS. I had watched the other teams and estimated: second or third place, realistically.
We won by a wide margin. Under four minutes. That was the moment I understood: Latin RS is a force to be reckoned with.
WHY RS.
The competitive spirit of the crew motivates me to give my best every day. Not against the others, but with them. That's what makes RS.
ON THE ROAD.
Salzburg Relay Marathon 2026: 1st place. Adizero Track Festival 2025, 4x400: 1st place. SportScheck Munich 2025: personal best in the half marathon. HYROX Berlin 2026.
Next goals: SuperHalf Copenhagen, then Hyrox Hamburg, Düsseldorf, Frankfurt. 2027: Berlin and Lisbon Half Marathon. The big goal: all SuperHalfs. And someday the first Major Marathon.
Magnus, dale caña!
