Hey, it's Laura — sponsored by ice cream and Honey Pops, otherwise nothing works.

THE BEGINNING.

Through Coach Felix — also known as the fast one. At 6am strength and cardio classes, you inevitably meet only crazy and very fast people.

I was hyped from the very first session — which unfortunately led to overpacing. Then I got almost completely lost in total darkness and cold. Ever since, the lake intervals and I have had a love-hate relationship.

First impression: amazing. I wasn't actually left in the dark — Gera lit up the route for me. That's when I realized: the team spirit here is something else. I was welcomed right away.

FRIDAY IS SACRED.

Have I actually mentioned that I quite like Fridays? — No. So: RS POWER. As long as you don't nearly get hit by balls — as a former footballer I can handle that. And as long as you don't let others push you too hard (Laura, David). I'm a huge fan.

I think everyone knows the drill: 5 warm-up laps, running drills — where I quickly realized that coordination is not my strongest skill. In between, half a tube of Coach Steffi's gummy bears (if they haven't been stolen), and then an almost bottomless workout. Only to end up half-dead trying to do Happy Baby or some not-quite-so-elegant stretch.

And clearly the highlight afterwards: the Isar.

WHY RS.

100% the people! You know you're in the right place when you leave sessions with a smile, when your crew cheers you on at races, or when on Fridays you end up staying a little longer by the Isar.

ON THE MOVE.

I've only been running for a year and a half and can count my races on two hands. The most important ones: first half marathon at Sportcheck Munich 2025, first marathon at Lake Garda 2026, relay marathon Salzburg with RS.

Next year: first trail run, obviously Garda again (there's plenty of ice cream there) — and maybe even a first podium spot?
