Salut, I'm Cyrille. 48, French in Munich — middle distance, no excuses.
THE BEGINNING.
In 2019 I came to RS through Fabian Romahn and Lukas Seitz. Before that I was already running with Isar Run — so I knew the Munich running scene, but felt something was missing. The two of them brought me along, and the rest is history. I've been running where I belong ever since.
No pain, no gain.
MY ROUTE.
The Sunday long run through the Englischer Garten is my weekly fixture. Out from the Monopteros, further and further into the Isar floodplains — and if you don't know the Großhesseloher Brücke yet, you're missing out: the view down onto the Isar from there is one of the most underrated spots in Munich. We run it almost every week. Never gets old.
MY RHYTHM.
Two fixed points in the week: Sunday's long run, Friday's intervals on the track. Long enough for endurance, short and hard enough for speed. Middle distance feels exactly right for me — the half marathon is my format. Fast enough that every kilometer counts. Long enough that you can't improvise.
WHY RS.
Cool people, real friends — and a crew that comes from every corner of the sport: triathletes, HYROX athletes, mountain runners, strength athletes. Not just runners. That exact mix is what makes the sessions varied and the conversations afterward interesting. What more could you want.
ON THE MOVE.
Salzburg HM 2026 · Prague HM 2026 — both just done. And the calendar for next year is already filling up: Tegernsee, Valencia, Milan, Naples. Plus, fixed every year: the Berlin City Night — with the kids. That's the one race of the year that has nothing to do with a PB and everything to do with family.
